About Us

Teaching Accessibility in the Digital Skill Set is a four-year research project funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) as part of the Future Leaders Fellowships initiative.

The project is lead by Dr Sarah Lewthwaite (Principal Investigator) who is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Research in Inclusion, in Southampton Education School at the University of Southampton.

Joining Sarah for the initial phases of the research are Dr Andy Coverdale (Centre for Research in Inclusion, Southampton) and Dr Abi James (Visiting Fellow, Web Accessibility Team, Electronics and Computer Science, Southampton). Both bring significant expertise in inclusion and digital accessibility.

We are in the process of recruiting one full-time, or two part-time Research Fellows, to work on the project, with interviews commencing in late July.
