Welcome

Digital technologies have transformed daily life. Yet capacity for producing accessible digital tools and services has not kept pace with demand, exacerbating digital exclusion for disabled people and older people.

To address this, ‘Teaching Accessibility in the Digital Skill Set’ is a 5 year research study (2019-2024) funded by UK Research and Innovation that seeks to build understanding of accessibility pedagogy, so that teachers of accessibility, trainers and peer-educators in academia and industry have empirical research and evidence-based resources to call upon when developing their teaching. The research involves 4 qualitative work packages. We will be posting more about our research and activities soon.
